<p>The BSE Sensex closed at 74,119.39, up 33.40 points. At 74,245.17, the index hit its highest point ever. The Nifty closed at 22,494.50, up 19.50 points. At 22,525.65, the index reached its highest point ever.</p>

<p>Sector-wise, the FMCG index gained by 1% and the metal index rose by 1.44%. In contrast, the bank and auto indexes saw declines, as did the oil and gas index, which fell by 1.08%.</p>
<p>The BSE and NSE stock markets will be closed on March 8 in observance of Mahashivratri. It will take three days off, including Saturday and Sunday, and will immediately return to business on March 11, 2024.</p>

<p>Sonata Software: The business said that the the Microsoft Azure AI service would be integrated with Sonata Harmoni.AI. It will oversee Sonata’s membership in the Microsoft AI Partner Council as well as its partnership with Microsoft Fabric.</p>
<p>Gujarat Gas/BPCL Stock: A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed between Gujarat Gas and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). Gujarat Gas and BPCL will collaborate across many industries to optimize processes and enhance the quality of services provided.</p>
<p>Muthoot Capital Services: In compliance with Reserve Bank of India standards, the business issued Rs 25 crore worth of commercial paper (CP).</p>
<p>Vedanta Stock: In order to improve internal control over corporate statements, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has sent the business an administrative warning. Additionally, the regulator requested that the business tighten its internal control over corporate announcements by taking the required remedial action.</p>
