<p>Director Gautham Menon said in a recent media interview that he has written the plot for Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu 2 and is excited to deliver it to Kamal Haasan when the time is right. Nevertheless, they haven’t met yet because of their hectic schedules. Despite their short prior encounters, Menon expressed disappointment that she did not have the opportunity to speak with Haasan in-depth about the sequel. Still, he declared his intention to produce the follow-up soon.</p>
<p>According to recent sources, the theatrical re-release of Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu has generated significant income. The film centers on DCP Raghavan’s hunt of two serial murderers and stars Kamal Haasan, Jyothika, and Kamalinee Mukherjee in key roles, with Prakash Raj, Daniel Balaji, and Salim Baig in supporting parts.</p>
<p>The film, which received praise for its compelling story, benefited from Harris Jayaraj’s orchestral arrangements and Thamarai’s lyrics. Its visual appeal was further enhanced by Anthony’s editing and Ravi Varman’s cinematography. Notably, one of the first Indian movies to be filmed in Super 35 format was Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu.</p>

Haasan won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor for his outstanding performance. Even with a Rs 24 crore budget, the movie made an astounding Rs 50 crore at the box office.</p>
